WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Toledo baseball team blasted home runs in the first three innings and the pitching staff turned in another shut-down performance in a 7-2 victory at William & Mary at Plumeri Park on Saturday.
Â
The Rockets (4-5) won their third straight game by taking a 3-0 lead after the third inning and tacking on four more runs across the final three innings. Rocket pitching worked around 10 hits from the Tribe (4-6) to secure Toledo's third-straight triumph.

Quoting Head Coach Rob Reinstetle
"We played another complete game today. It all starts on the mound and each of our three pitchers we very good. We also played outstanding defense again. Offensively, we hit some long home runs early and tacked on important runs late. We need to come back tomorrow and finish the weekend strong against a really good Richmond team."
