Kaydee Absher, Lianna Palacios, Savvanna Riall and Lyla Trumell sign with Rockets for 2027 season
TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo softball Head Coach Jessica Bracamonte announced the signing of four student-athletes to the Rockets' 2025-26 recruiting class on Wednesday.
Kaydee Absher, Lianna Palacios, Savvanna Riall and Lyla Trumell will begin their collegiate careers with Toledo next fall and take the field during the 2027 campaign.
"Our 2026 class features four exceptionally dynamic players who bring an outstanding blend of talent, drive, and competitive spirit," said Bracamonte. "Their impact will be felt immediately both on and off the field. We're thrilled about the defensive versatility and offensive power that Kaydee, Lianna, and Savvanna add to our roster. In the circle, Lyla's arrival as a skilled two-way pitcher with her calm, confident presence and power at the plate, she brings exceptional depth to our pitching staff. Each recruiting class is an opportunity to raise the bar for Toledo softball, and this group will undoubtedly help us do just that."
The following is a look at the incoming 2026 class:
Kaydee Absher | Catcher/Utility | Chelsea, Mich. | Chelsea HS
A catcher/utility player from Chelsea, Mich., Kaydee Absher has earned all-conference, all-region and all-district honors in each of her three seasons. Absher also earned all-state honorable mention following her junior season. She has tallied a batting average over .400 in every season of her high school career, including a .529 mark in her junior campaign.
Why Toledo? "Toledo has amazing coaches, a competitive program, a beautiful campus and a great community for my college career!"
Lianna Palacios | Middle Infield | San Fernando Valley, Calif. | Faith Baptist Schools
A shortstop from San Fernando Valley, Calif., Lianna Palacios is a two-time first team honoree and four-year letterwinner at Faith Baptist Schools. Palacios was also named the 2025 defensive player of the year.
Why Toledo? "I chose the University of Toledo because of its strong campus culture and supportive community. I admire the softball team and coaching staff for their dedication, spirit, and commitment to excellence. Additionally, the University of Toledo aligns well with my academic and professional goals, as I intend to pursue a major in speech pathology."
Savvanna Riall | Third Base | Greenfield, Ind. | Greenfield Central HS
A third basemen from Greenfield, Ind., Savvanna Riall was a three-time all-conference player, two-time all-state honorable mention honoree and earned 2025 all-state first team accolades. Riall holds season records in home runs, batting average and RBIs at Greenfield Central High School and has been a varsity captain for the past three seasons.
Why Toledo? "To further my academic and athletic career at the Division I level."
Lyla Turmell | Pitcher | White Lake, Mich. | Walled Lake Northern HS
A pitcher from White Lake, Mich., Lyla Turmell tallied all-state honorable mention accolades and was named a 2024 Division I All-State player in Michigan after posting a 25-3 record in the circle. She was a four-year varsity starter and was named the team captain. On the offensive side of the ball, Turmell recorded a .496 batting average to go along with 10 home runs and 66 RBIs in her junior campaign.
