Rockets look to sweep season series against Penguins
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo baseball team will play the back end of a home-and-home series with Youngstown State on Tuesday, April 9 at Eastwood Field beginning at 5:00 p.m.

The Rockets (16-16, 10-5 MAC) are coming off their fourth conference series win of the season, taking two of three at Central Michigan with a 7-2 victory on Friday and a 3-2 triumph on Sunday.

Youngstown State (4-26, 2-10 Horizon League) was swept by Wright State over the weekend.

The Rockets are 1-2 overall against the Horizon League this season and defeated YSU 19-6 this season.

The Rockets took the rubber match, 3-2, on Sunday over Central Michigan. A sixth-inning home run by Caden Konczak proved to be the difference in the series finale.

After starter RJ Shunck went 4.2 innings, allowing just two runs on four hits, the bullpen finished the game with 4.1 scoreless innings. Brennan McCune (W, 2-0) retired all seven batters he faced while Camryn Szynski got the five-out save for his third of the season.
