COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Toledo track & field team concluded its participation at Ohio State's Jesse Owens Invitational in Columbus on Saturday, with several athletes marking personal records.
Graduate student Paige Embaugh set a personal best in the 800m, coming in 26th place with a time of 2:18.81. Junior Margrett Watt posted UT's fastest 800m mark, coming in 17th with a time of 2:17.15.
In field events, freshman Nehemiah Coleman PRed and set Toledo's best triple jump score this season with a distance of 10.40m, while sophomore Makenna Englund tied her season-best with a 1.55m in the high jump.
Freshman Rahzia Rios-Smith posted Toledo's best 400m time of the meet (58.82).
"Our athletes competing at Ohio State got a great opportunity to go against competition that consisted of in-conference opponents, conference champions and national qualifiers across all NCAA divisions," said Assistant Coach Spencer Cameron-Pressley. "I believe that today's meet will move us well into our regular-season finale as we look to lock in conference-qualifying marks at Michigan next week."
