Spencer Cameron-Pressley

Spencer Cameron-Pressley joined the Toledo women’s track & field coaching staff in August 2022. He works primarily with the sprinters and jumpers.

Cameron-Pressley helped Toledo’s sprinters to several big performances in both the indoor and outdoor seasons in 2024. In indoor competition, Toledo set six personal records at the Akron Invitational in short-distance events. Khamani Jones captured a first-place finish at the Silverston Invitational in Michigan and Mayson Bates finished the indoor season fifth in Toledo history with an 8.66 in the 60m hurdles at the MAC Championships. Toledo’s outdoor season in sprints was highlighted at the Lenn Paddock Invitational, where five Rockets set their personal-best times. Toledo’s 4x100 relay team also took a crown at the Tiffin Track Carnival on April 12.

In the field, Cameron-Pressley assisted in coaching freshman Nora Hark, went on to win three times in the javelin – twice outdoor and once in indoor in the javelin, and take second place in the event at the MAC Championships. Hark posted a throw of 42.20m at the Lenn Paddock Invitational, which ranks fourth all-time in program history, and was named Second Team All-MAC at season’s end. He also worked with Jordyn Wright, who finished sixth in program history in the pole vault for both indoor (3.55m) and outdoor (3.50m).

Cameron-Pressley came to Toledo after serving as assistant coach, specializing in sprinting and jumping, for the 2021-22 season for track & field team at Heidelberg University.

Cameron-Pressley helped coach a national qualifier in the men’s long jump, 58 conference qualifiers, and eight  All-Atlantic Region (AARTFC) meet qualifiers. He mentored Mackenzie Murray, who broke her own school record marks in the pole vault, guided Alex Morgan to an eighth-place OAC finish in the 400 hurdles and 4x400m relay, and led Carson Lehrer to an 11th-place OAC finish in the 100 as a freshman.

Prior to his stint at Heidelberg, Cameron-Pressley served as an assistant coach in both track & field (2020-21) and football (2019-21) at Buffalo State College.

Cameron-Pressley was a four-year varsity track & field athlete and three-year varsity football lineman at Buffalo State.

Originally from New Rochelle, N.Y., Cameron-Pressley graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Buffalo State in 2019, and a master’s degree in sociology from the University at Buffalo in 2021.
