Senior ties for 14th place at one-under to lead Rockets

AWENDAW, S.C. – Senior Barend Botha fired a three-under par 69 for the Toledo men's golf team in Tuesday's final round to finish in a 14^th-place tie with a one-under par 215 in the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate. The Rockets shot their best round of the tournament today with an even-par 288 to finish in 14^th place in the event at the par-72, 7,266-yard Bulls Bay Golf Club.

Botha played a near flawless round, finishing with four birdies and just one bogey. Senior Jamie Tofte Nielsen also registered four birdies today en route to shooting an even-par 72, matching senior Palmer Yenrick who finished in a 45^th-place tie at six-over par 222.

Nielsen tied for 67^th place along with senior NJ Botha at nine-over par 225. Junior Jamie Butler rounded out the Rockets' lineup in 81^st place at 237.

Toledo will return to action in two weeks when it travels to Charlottesville, Va. for UVa's Lewis Chitengwa Memorial on Monday-Tuesday, April 8-9.
