DeKALB, Ill. – The Toledo men's tennis team capped its weekend with a 6-1 defeat at Northern Illinois on Sunday. The Rockets (8-9, 3-2 MAC) defeated UIC on Friday afternoon to earn a split for the weekend.
The Rockets stayed in the fight, but the Huskies took five of the six singles courts to clinch the match.
Poonthong Komolpisut was victorious from the No. 5 court, taking the match from Armin Koschtojan, 7-6(2), 6-4 for his third-straight win in MAC play.
Komolpisut and teammate
Hanamichi Carvajal were tied at 5-5 at No. 2 doubles when the match was ruled unfinished due to NIU capturing the top and bottom courts for the team point.
