Rockets and Broncos meeting for first time since 2023 MAC Championship finals
TOLEDO, Ohio – The defending Mid-American Conference champion Toledo men's tennis team will play its first home conference match of the season when it welcomes Ball State on Friday, March 15, and Western Michigan on Sunday, March 17 to the Shadow Valley Tennis Club.
The Rockets (6-7, 1-0 MAC) have won their last eight regular-season conference matches since March 24, 2023.
Last Time on the Court
Toledo defeated Buffalo in its first conference match of the season, 5-2, on Saturday. Freshman Poonthong Komolpisut delivered the clinching point for the Rockets, while senior Pawit Sornlaksup continued his remarkable play against conference opponents by winning his 21st-straight match at the top court against MAC players since the 2021-22 season. Sornlaksup and doubles partner Marko Galic earned MAC Doubles Team of the Week honors on Wednesday for their contribution to Saturday's win over UB.

Ball State (7-6, 1-1 MAC) is coming off a 6-1 victory over UIC after falling to Northern Illinois, 5-2, to earn a split of its conference-opening weekend in Muncie, Ind.
About Western Michigan
Western Michigan (10-3, 2-0 MAC) has won its last eight matches, including a pair of conference victories over UIC and Northern Illinois last weekend. WMU's Anton Arzhankin went 2-0 in singles play last week to help the Broncos continue their winning streak and earn this week's MAC Singles Player of the Week recognition on Tuesday.
WMU will face Buffalo on Friday before taking the court vs. Toledo for the first time since the finals of the 2023 MAC Championship.
