DeKALB, Ill. – The Toledo women's soccer team held a 1-0 lead for much of its game at Northern Illinois on Sunday but an NIU goal with three minutes left tied the game, which ended up as a 1-1 deadlock.
Toledo struck gold first with a goal from junior
Mia Leonetti at the 29-minute mark and held the lead until Norther Illinois' Amber Tompkins tied the game in the 87
th minute. The Huskies had back-to-back corner kicks in the final two minutes, but the Rockets' defense held off until the clock wound down.
