36-hole tournament will serve as final tuneup for MAC Championships
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's golf team will make the short trip down I-75 this weekend to compete in Bowling Green's Dolores Black Falcon Invitational in its final tournament prior to the 2023 Mid-American Conference Championships. The Rockets will be competing against a 10-team field on Friday-Saturday, April 7-8. The 36-hole tournament will be played at the par-72, 5,911-yard Stone Ridge Golf Club.
Friday's tee times will start at 10:00 a.m. off the No. 1 and No. 10 holes, while Saturday's play will begin with a 10:00 a.m. shotgun start.
Toledo posted a ninth-place finish in its most recent outing at William & Mary's Kingsmill Intercollegiate. Sophomore Yedam Lee led the way by posting her third Top 10 finish in her last four outings by tying for seventh place. Lee posted a 10-over par 226 (74-73-79) and finished just three strokes out of second place.
Lee ranks first on the team with a career-low 75.7 stroke average, including an impressive 72.6 mark this spring. Senior Amelia Lee and junior Macy Hanus are right behind her with 76.4 and 76.5 averages, respectively. Joining the trio in the Rockets' lineup are juniors Angel Hii and Cheryl Hong. Â
Sophomore Cameron Ford, junior Kaitlyn Natividad, senior Kathryn Roth and senior Claudia Sampson are competing as individuals.
