Senior enters final round three strokes behind leaders
OPELIKA, Ala. – Senior Palmer Yenrick registered a second-straight under-par round on Monday for the Toledo men's golf team and is tied for 10th place following the second round of Auburn's Tiger Invitational by Jason Dufner. The Rockets remained tied for 10th place in the team standings in the 17-team tournament that is being played at the par-72, 7,289-yard Grand National Lake Course.
Yenrick carded a one-under par 71 in today's play and sits at four-under 140 through 36 holes. He birdied two of his first three holes and was never over par in his round.
Senior NJ Botha notched UT's second-best score of the day with an even-par 72 and is tied for 24th place at even-par 144 (72-72). After playing his opening nine holes at two-over, he bounced back with a two-under showing on his back nine.
Junior Barend Botha is tied for 51st place at four-over par 148 (74-74), junior Jamie Tofte Nielsen is tied for 74th place at nine-over par 153 (74-79), and freshman Bence Kotel is in 86th place at 13-over par 157 (78-79).
The tournament's final round will be held tomorrow with tee times starting at 8:00 a.m.
