Toledo is shut out 6-0 by Northwestern State

YOUNGSVILLE, La. – The Toledo softball teams ended its run at the Mardi Gras Mambo in Youngsville, La. with a 6-0 loss to Northwestern State on Sunday afternoon.

Northwestern State's Maggie Darr had a no-hitter going into the top of the sixth until Lauren Erickson broke it up with a single to right field to get on base for Toledo with one out. The Demons scored their first run in the opening inning and then scored five more runs in the second to establish the 6-0 lead that turned out to be the final score.

Erin Hunt started on the mound for the Rockets, and gave up six runs and three hits in 2.0 innings until Sophia Knight relieved her in the third. Knight gave up one hit and recorded one strikeout in her 4.0 innings of scorless work on the mound.
