EAST LANSING, Mich. – Junior
Adam Kovac had his time at the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Men's Tennis Tour come to an end Monday afternoon at the MSU Tennis Center. Kovac was eliminated from the tournament by No.10 seed Ronald Hohmann in three sets.
"Adam played a fearless and focused match today," head coach
Al Wermer said. "He looked really good, but couldn't quite get to the finish line."
Kovac (Serbia) got off to a great start, winning his first set over Hohmann (USA), 6-3. Hohmann won the second set to force a tiebreaker, where he came out victorious to end Kovac's chance to make it into the singles main draw.
Toledo will return to the court on Jan. 14, 2023, when it hosts Boston College for the first match of the spring season.
