Rockets Heading North for Chippewa Invitational

TOLEDO, Ohio — The Toledo women's golf team will head north next week to compete in Central Michigan's Chippewa Invitational in Birmingham, Mich. The 36-hole tournament will utilize a 10:00 a.m. shotgun start each day and take place at the par-72, 5,897-yard Birmingham Country Club.
The Field
The Rockets will be joined by three Mid-American Conference programs — Bowling Green, Central Michigan, and Western Michigan — as well as Bellarmine, Detroit Mercy, Loyola Chicago, North Carolina A&T and Oakland.
This Week's Lineup
Toledo's primary lineup will include freshman Reese Jansa at No. 1, junior Macy Hanus at No. 2, sophomore Yedam Lee at No. 3, senior Amelia Lee at No. 4, and junior Angel Hii at No. 5. Senior Claudia Sampson, junior Kaitlyn Natividad, senior Kathryn Roth, sophomore Cameron Ford and junior Cheryl Hong will compete as a B team for the Rockets.
Amelia Lee leads the Rockets with a 74.3 stroke average and is followed by Hanus and Jansa with 75.9 and 76.0 scoring marks, respectively.
Last Time Out
Toledo tied for third place with Central Michigan at the Rocket Classic earlier this week at the Catawba Island Club in Port Clinton, Ohio. Jansa tied for seventh place at 14-over par 230 to pace the Rockets with Hanus, Amelia Lee and Yedam Lee also notching Top 20 finishes.
