TOLEDO, Ohio — The Toledo women's golf team will receive its final tuneup prior to next week's Mid-American Conference Championships when it travels to Akron, Ohio for the Akron Invitational on Friday-Saturday, April 16-17. The 36-hole tournament will be held at the par-71, 6,265-yard Portage Country Club. Tee times will begin at 9:00 a.m. off the No. 1 and No. 10 hole each day.

Toledo will be competing against Mid-American Conference members Akron, Eastern Michigan, Ohio and Western Michigan as well as Indianapolis, the No. 6-ranked team in Golfstat.com's NCAA Division II rankings.

The Rockets' lineup this week will include sophomore Amelia Lee at No. 1, freshman Macy Hanus at No. 2, freshman Cheryl Hong at No. 3, freshman Angel Hii at No. 4 and sophomore Claudia Sampson at No. 5. Sophomore Kathryn Roth and freshman Kait Natividad will be competing as individuals.

Hii is leading Toledo with a 75.6 stroke average in 11 rounds. Lee ranks second with a 77.0 scoring mark, while Hanus is third at 77.3. Lee and Hanus joined Hong by posting their best finish of the season last weekend at Bowling Green's Dolores Black Falcon Invitational.
