MAC Indoors 2021 Draws

TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo men's tennis will take the court against some familiar faces from around the Mid-American Conference in this weekend's ITA sanctioned event. The MAC Indoors will be hosted by Western Michigan University, this Friday-Sunday, Nov. 5-7.

"We've definitely made progress in certain areas," head coach Al Wermer said. "The guys are looking forward to competing in this event, and we're looking forward to further assessing our progress over the past two months."

Last Time Out
Toledo faced tough competition at the ITA Midwest Regional Tournament on Oct. 21-23. Sophomore Pawit Sornlaksup competed in the singles main draw for the Rockets and finished 0-1. Sornlaksup and doubles partner senior Cole Shoults had the lead effort, 1-1, but did not advance past the round of 32's.

Last Time at MAC Indoors (2019-20 season)
Toledo had three singles victories at the 2019 MAC Invitational, two coming from players who return to this year's squad. Junior Max Skaer had a two-set victory over Ball State's Abe Wojtaliak (6-3, 6-3), while junior Krzysztof Wetoszka secured a three-set victory over Northern Illinois' Mikko Malinen (6-4, 3-6, 10-7).

Toledo will be off from competition until the spring season pens against Tiffin in its home-opener on Tuesday, Jan. 18 at Shadow Valley Tennis Club.
