TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo closed out its fall season Saturday afternoon at the final day of the Rocket Invite. The Rockets went 7-1 in singles play and 4-0 in doubles play against Bowling Green and Cleveland State.

"We had quite a dominating performance this weekend," Head Coach Tracy Mauntler said. "To go 21-2 against quality teams like Bowling Green and Cleveland State is quite a statement. I'm incredibly proud of the work that these eight players have put in since last April."

Toledo opened its day with singles play against Cleveland State, taking five of six matches. Sophomore Cassie Alcala, junior Sloane Teske and sophomore Julia Kuszynski won their matches on the top courts. In extra singles matches, senior Eileen Carney and junior Laura Morera both won their matches against Bowling Green.

The Rockets went undefeated in doubles competition against Bowling Green to close out the invitational. Every Rocket tandem won their respective matches, including Carney and senior Christina Fuller in an extra doubles match over the duo from Cleveland State.

Toledo will be back on the court after the new year. The spring season will begin Jan. 15-17 in Fort Meyers, Fla. for the FGCU Tournament.
