Ryan Rollins poured in a game-high 30 points to lead Toledo to a 93-68 exhibition victory over Hillsdale College on Saturday afternoon in Savage Arena. Joining Rollins in double digits was junior

Kooper Jacobi each grabbed eight rebounds apiece to help Toledo to a 37-28 advantage on the boards. Dennis topped the Rockets with five assists.

Toledo shot 56.1 percent from the field and held the Chargers to a 45.8 shooting mark. The Rockets also forced Hillsdale to commit 18 turnovers and committed just nine miscues.

Toledo will play one more exhibition at Findlay on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 1:00 p.m. The Rockets will open their 2021-22 campaign at Valparaiso on Tuesday, Nov. 9.

HOW IT HAPPENED

FIRST HALF
- Toledo jumped out to an early 9-5 lead with RayJ Dennis and Ryan Rollins each scoring four points in the opening minutes.
- Hillsdale took its first lead at 13-11 with 14:54 left in the first half.
- Nine more lead changes followed until the Rockets took the lead for good, 34-27, thanks to an 8-0 run. Three straight Rollins' baskets ignited the spurt which was capped off by a dunk from Mihai Carcoana.
- Rollins finished the opening 20 minutes with 19 points as Toledo took 43-32 to the locker room.
SECOND HALF
- Rollins' three-point play four minutes into the second half gave the Rockets their first 20-point lead, 62-41.
- Hillsdale fought back and reduced its deficit to single digits, 72-64, with 7:45 remaining.
- JT Shumate drilled a three-pointer on the next possession to end the Chargers' rally.
- Toledo ended the contest with an 11-0 spurt for its final margin of victory.
