Rockets Release 2021 Schedule

TOLEDO, Ohio – The University of Toledo women's tennis team has released its 2021 schedule.
The Rockets will play 25 matches this season, including 11 at home. A 14-match Mid-American Conference schedule will begin on Friday, March 12.
"To say the team is excited to compete is an understatement," head coach Tracy Mauntler said. "They've been working so hard for the past 10 months to finally get to play matches against high-level competition. The addition of Notre Dame and USF to our schedule this season will add incredible challenges, but I'm certain the experience from playing those teams will add invaluable experience for our very young team."
Toledo begins its season with a road match at Notre Dame on Saturday, Jan. 30 before playing the next four contests at home. The first home matchup of the year will be a Friday afternoon battle against St. Francis (Pa.)Â on Feb. 5.
The Rockets open up MAC competition with trips to Buffalo and Miami before returning home to host Northern Illinois and Bowling Green on Friday, March 19 and Sunday, March 21, respectively. Toledo's final match of the season will be on Sunday, May 2 against Ball State.
Last spring, the MAC made postseason changes to several sports, including women's tennis, which included the removal of the conference tournament. The winner of the MAC's regular season will earn an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.
