TOLEDO, Ohio — The Toledo baseball team embarks on its season-long road trip this weekend, an 11-day swing that starts with a weekend series at UAB.

Darryn Davis leads the MAC in hitting (.432) and is riding a 17-game hitting streak into this weekend. He has hit safely in all 11 games this year and ended last season on a six-game streak.
Toledo's seven home runs are tied with Miami for most in the MAC.
Wyatt Jefferson's nine strikeouts against Alabama State last Saturday are the most by a MAC pitcher this season.
Chris Meyers is tied with two other players atop the MAC with three home runs.
John Servello has had multiple hits in each of his last three games.

Scouting the Competition
UAB enters this weekend's series with a record of 6-6, having won five of its last six games. The Blazers recently took two out of three from MAC foe Miami and beat Troy, 5-2, in a midweek contest on Tuesday night. Colton Schultz is hitting .283 with two home runs and 10 RBIs, and J Paul Fullerton leads the team with 11 RBIs. UAB is hitting .223 as a team and has struck out 95 times compared to its 43 walks. On the mound, starters Austin Bohannon leads the rotation with a 1.89 ERA and a .191 batting average against. Closer Mac McCarty has not allowed a run in 13.0 innings, striking out 15 while walking just one.
