TOLEDO, Ohio - The University of Toledo men's tennis team is set for a home opener doubleheader on Friday as they take on Division II opponents Findlay and Tiffin at Shadow Valley Tennis Club in Maumee. The Rockets will face Findlay at 1:00 p.m., with the match against Tiffin to follow at 6:00 p.m.Â

For Friday's matches Fuzzy's tacos will be available for fans at the 6:00 p.m match and admission to both matches is free. Fans are also welcome to join the men's tennis team's fight against cancer in memory of freshman

Following Chatras with 1-1 records are sophomore Gabriel de Oliveira and junior Nikita Parfenov on the No. 5 and No. 1 courts, respectively. Duos Chatras/de Oliveira and junior Austin Mohamedali/freshman Matthew Telford lead the team with 1-1 records from the No. 2 and No. 3 courts, respectively. Â

The Dragons went 15-7 (6-0 G-MAC), posting a six-match win streak during the regular season that included three sweeps in a row. Tiffin also tallied 6-1 wins over Lake Superior State and Purdue Northwest. In the G-MAC tournament, TU defeated Walsh, 4-2, in the semifinal before defeating Findlay, 4-2, in the championship.Â
