As a Junior (2017-18):
Went 1-1 (1-1 MAC) in singles competition and 3-7 (3-3 MAC) in doubles ... Primarily partnered with Serjen Olmedo in No. 3 doubles where the two went 3-5 ... Lone singles victory came on April 20 against Binghamton’s Josh Druger playing at the No. 6 spot.
As a Sophomore (2016-17): Named Academic All-MAC and ITA Scholar Athlete … Overall went 3-6 in singles play and 5-3 in doubles play … Earned five straight doubles victories, capturing wins vs. Wright State, Duquesene, Wayne State, Boise State and Nebraska.
As a Freshman (2015-16): Finished 6-13 in singles and 9-17 in doubles action…Claimed four two-set victories including a 6-2, 6-0 win over Duquesne’s Dane Bendel at sixth singles…Defeated Southern Illinois’ Daniel Martinez, 6-0, 6-4 (9/25) and Cardinal Stritch’s Abel Da Costa, 6-1, 6-0 (10/16)…Went 5-6 with Danilo Pejovic in doubles.
High School: Senior year achieved a career-high national ranking of No. 4...Five-time national doubles champion...ITF G4 doubles champion in Monterrey and ITF G4 runner up doubles champion in El Salvador and Queretaro...Junior year was a two-time national doubles champion and was the ITF G1 event dubles quarterfinalist in Yucatan.
Personal: Son of Juan Carranza Leon and Maritza Novoa Haro...Has a younger brother, Pablo (14)...Plans on majoring in finance.
