WILMINGTON, N.C. – The offense exploded for the Toledo softball team, helping the Rockets sweep day two of the UNCW Softball Invitational in Wilmington, N.C, on Saturday. Toledo claimed a 10-2 victory over host UNC-Wilmington and a 13-1 win over Robert Morris to move its season record to 8-4.

Game One
After trailing 1-0, Toledo got all the scoring it needed with five runs in the top of the second inning behind a two-run double by freshman
Macey Moore and a three-run homer from senior

Erin Hunt allowed five hits and struck out six to cruise to her sixth win of the season

How it happened
- UNC-Wilmington was first to make a mark on the scoreboard, scoring a run in the bottom of the first.
- Moore drove in the Rockets' first runs of the game in the top of the second. Moore doubled to center field, driving in sophomore Aubrey Reed and freshman Leah Munson.
- Golden added three more runs in the Rockets' next at bat, homering over left field and bringing Moore and junior Raelyn Nyren. Golden's homer extended the Rockets' lead to 5-1.
- The Rockets scored one run in each of the next three innings, before Moore and Golden each added another RBI to secure the 10-2 win in the top of the sixth.

Game Two
The Rockets' sixth inning flurry proved to be the deciding factor in their 13-1 win over Robert Morris. Sophomore
Raquel Emery and freshman
Macey Moore each recorded two RBIs in the win. Hunt (7-0) earned her seventh win of the season, allowing four hits and striking out six.

How it happened
- The Rockets took an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first when freshman Lily Beyer scored on a wild pitch.
- Robert Morris responded in the bottom of third, when Natalie Higgins hit a one-run double to center field.
- The Rockets' wasted no time in the fourth inning, when Moore hit a two-run single in the top of the inning. Nyren took advantaged of an error later that inning to put the Rockets up 4-1.
- The sixth inning proved to the deciding factor yet again, as Toledo took advantage of Robert Morris' errors and put up nine runs to claim the victory.
