Conway, S.C. - The Toledo men's tennis team defeated Ashland in a 7-0 sweep on Tuesday at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, S.C. The Rockets posted five two-set sweeps in singles action.

"This gave us some adversity today because it was quite cold and Ashland was a pretty feisty team," said head coach Al Wermer. "It also gave us a good chance to assess our lineup."

Kicking things off in doubles play, senior Vince Anzalone/junior Danilo Vukotic defeated Priyank Soni/Colten Clark 6-2 and senior Juan Carranza/freshman Cole Shoults defeated Tche Kun Teng/Stanislaw Grzeslo 6-0 to claim the doubles point.

In singles action Vukotic, junior Thawin Suksathaporn, senior Serjen Olmedo, sophomore Tyler Gargas, and senior Reid Teatsorth swept their opponents in two sets. Anzalone fell in his first set 4-6 before bouncing back to win the second and third 6-4, 10-8.
