How It Happened
- Senior Brad Boss and Servello led off the bottom of the first with back-to-back hits, and they were both driven in by Meyers and Davis, respectively.
- Quinnipiac tied the game at 2-2 in the top of the fourth with a pair of one-out RBI hits. Those were the only runs Jacob allowed on the day.
- Ryan ripped a double down the line in left field to bring home two runs and freshman Danny Murphy drove in a run to give the Rockets a 5-2 advantage in the bottom of the fourth.
- Servello made it 6-2 with an RBI single in the bottom of the seventh, and sophomore David Jeffers had a clutch pinch-hit, RBI single in the eighth inning to put Toledo ahead 7-2.
- The top of the ninth did not go as planned for Toledo. The Bobcats scored five runs, four of which came with two outs, to tie the game at 7-7. The tying run scored on a single up the middle.
- Quinnipiac overtook the Rockets with a solo home run in the top of the 10th to take an 8-7 lead.
- Thompson started off the bottom of the 10th with a base hit to right field. Jeffers bunted him over, and Eitniear singled to advance Thompson to third. Servello walked to load the bases with two outs, and Toledo then tied the game when Meyers was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
- Davis stepped to the plate and smacked an 0-1 pitch right back up the middle to bring home the winning run and cap a wild 9-8 win.
