Chicago, Ill. – Toledo men's tennis edged out Chicago State 4-3 on Friday in Chicago, Ill., with two Rockets sweeping their opponents in two sets in singles play.

Thawin Suksathaporn defeated Cody Wurzelbacher in two sets (6-4, 7-5) at the No. 5 spot and senior
Serjen Olmedo swept Nicholas Liddy 6-1, 6-4 at the No. 6 spot. Vitosevic clinched the match for the Rockets at the No. 1 position after a three-set thriller. Falling in the first set 4-6, Vitosevic bounced back to take the second and third sets 6-4, 7-6(12).Â

"This was three hours and 44 minutes of spellbinding drama, actually one of the best matches I have ever been involved with," said head coach
Al Wermer. "All of the guys showed phenomenal team effort and hopefully we will use this as a turning point and great test for our MAC season."Â
