Chicago, Ill. – Toledo men's tennis defeated UIC 4-0 on Saturday, wrapping up a successful weekend in Chicago, Ill.

"This was a very dangerous team and our guys came in with a gritty attitude," said head coach Al Wermer. "Nothing was going to stop them tonight from completing a very impressive back-to-back weekend."

Kicking things off in doubles play, senior duo Luka Vitosevic/Omar Espinosa defeated their opponents 6-3 on the No. 1 court. On the No. 2 court senior Vince Anzalone/junior Danilo Vukotic defeated their opponents 6-4.

In singles action three Rockets swept their competitors in two sets. At the No. 4 spot senior Omar Espinosa defeated Pelle Strandberg 6-4, 6-1. Vitosevic defeated Niko Wasilewicz 6-4, 6-4 at the No. 1 spot. Junior Thawin Suksathaporn sealed the sweep for the Rockets at the No. 5 spot, defeating Kailash Panchapakesan 6-4, 6-2.

The Rockets will compete in three matches over spring break, landing in Conway, S.C. on Mar. 3 to challenge Coastal Carolina and Ashland. On Mar. 6 UT will face the Citadel in Charleston, S.C.
