TOLEDO, Ohio - Toledo will look to continue the momentum from its season-opening victory against Georgia State when it hosts Atlantic 10 Conference member Dayton (1-0) on Saturday, Nov. 9. The game is slated for 2:00 p.m. in Savage Arena and will be shown on ESPN3.
The Rockets produced a 13-4 (.765) mark in home games in 2018-19. In 11 years under head coach
Tricia Cullop, the Rockets are 137-40 (.774) in home matchups, including 61-18 (.772) against non-conference foes.
Toledo is coming off a resounding 74-48 season-opening triumph against the Panthers on Tuesday in the GSU Sports Arena. The Midnight Blue & Gold shot an impressive 52.5 percent (32-of-61) from the field and 83.3 percent (5-of-6) from the charity stripe to improve to 24-22 (.522) all time in season openers, including 7-5 (.583) under Coach Cullop.

The Rockets posted a massive 48-6 edge in points in the paint, a 31-8 advantage in bench points and a gigantic 47-22 rebounding edge to remain unbeaten in three meeting vs. GSU.
Dayton opened its 2019-20 campaign with an 82-60 home win vs. Lipscomb on Tuesday. Erin Whalen paced UD with 19 points off the bench, while Kyla Whitehead had 12 points and a game-high 12 boards.
As a team, the Flyers finished with a lopsided 26-10 advantage at the charity stripe against the Bisons.
Toledo and Dayton will compete for an 11th-straight year and 26th time overall. UD leads the all-time series, 14-11, but the Rockets have won two of the last three matchups against their interstate foe. The all-time series is tied 6-6 in games played in Savage Arena.
A season ago, Toledo suffered a 70-49 road setback in UD Arena (Nov. 21, 2018). Senior
Sara Rokkanen paced the Rockets with 11 points, followed closely by
Kaayla McIntyre and
Mikaela Boyd with 10 and nine points, respectively. Boyd just missed posting a double-double, finishing with a team-high 11 boards.
Lauren Cannatelli and Jayla Scaife did a bulk of the damage for the Flyers, pouring in a game-high 18 points each.

The Rockets are also slated to battle A-10 member Duquesne on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. at La Roche University in Pittsburgh.
Following Saturday's home opener against the Flyers, Toledo will travel to 2019 NCAA Championship finalist Notre Dame on Wednesday, Nov. 20. The opening tip against the nationally ranked Fighting Irish is slated for 7:00 p.m. in the Purcell Pavilion.
