TOLEDO, Ohio – Sophomore linebackerÂ
Saeed Holt was voted "Ironman of the Game" for his performance in last Saturday's homecoming clash against Mid-American Conference foe Western Michigan. Â
The Pittsburgh, Pa. native tied his career high with 12 tackles against the Broncos and made two huge plays at the end of the game. With WMU at Toledo's 12-yard line with just over two minutes to play, Holt sacked Bronco quarterback Jon Wassink for a 12-yard loss, setting up a fourth-and-24 situation. Wassink scrambled on the next play and was tackled two yards shy of the first down by Holt, giving Toledo the ball with 1:44 to play.
Holt also received Ironman of the Game recognition for his performance against Kentucky on Aug. 31.
