TOLEDO, Ohio - The University of Toledo women's tennis team is set to host the Rocket Invitational this Friday and Saturday at the Toledo Varsity Courts. Competition will start at 10:30 a.m. on both days. In the event of inclement weather, matches will be held at Twos Athletic Club in Toledo. The tournament format will be hidden dual/simultaneous play.

Last Time Out
The Rockets traveled to Charleston, W. Va. for the Thunder in the Mountains Tournament, co-hosted by Marshall and West Virginia. Sophomore Christina Fuller and freshman Sloane Teske went 2-1 in doubles, drawing wins against Marshall and Akron. The Rockets' strongest showing in singles play was on Sunday, with sophomore Eileen Carney, junior Patricia Panta, Teske, and freshman Laura Morera posting wins against Mid-American Conference foe, Akron.

Last Time at the Rocket Invitational
Four Rockets earned individual flight victories in last season's Rocket Invitational and Thalita Rodrigues/Dee Dee Leenabanchong earned the title for the Doubles No. 2 flight. Leenabanchong finished the weekend in a three-way tie with Oakland's Ava Thielman and Duquesne's Margot Pessy in the singles No. 1 flight. Fuller also soared in singles play, fighting her way to the singles No. 5 flight title.
