Fullerton, Calif. — The University of Toledo women's tennis team,7-3, ended their six-match winning streak today with a 6-1 road loss to CSU-Fullerton, 10-2.
Â
The Rockets clinched the doubles point thanks to the No.1 pairing of Sidnay Huck/ Kokoro Chishaki and the No. 3 pairing of Colleen O'Brien/ Dee Dee Leenabanchong. Toledo was swept in singles play.
Â
Head coach Tracy Mauntler was disappointed with the loss, but felt that her team was able to gain some meaningful experience from the match.
Â
"Fullerton is a very talented team. I was very happy with the way we played in doubles," Mauntler said. "To take the doubles point from a team of this caliber is impressive. They just overpowered us in singles. I feel like we got some really good experience playing outside today which is so important as we move forward."
