2017-18: O’Brien went 12-10 (5-2 MAC) in singles and 17-1 (5-0 MAC) in doubles this season. Playing mostly in No. 3 singles, the Ann Arbor, Mich., native went 6-4 in her last 10 matches and won eight matches in two sets throughout the season. She also won singles player of the week on April 18. O’Brien was one half of a dominant doubles duo that went undefeated in the regular season, going 10-0 in No. 3 and 6-0 in No. 2. O’Brien and partner Dee Dee Leenabanchong were selected as the Doubles Team of the Week on March 21, and the senior received the Leann Grimes Davidge Sportsmanship Award for “outstanding sportsmanship in MAC competition.”
2016-17: Named Academic All-MAC for the second straight year … Posted an overall record of 14-19 in singles play and 7-14 in dual meets … In doubles play, posted an overall record of 9-8, 4-2 in dual meets and 4-0 in MAC play … Came away victorious in the final four doubles matches with Sidnay Huck … As the No.3 doubles team, had a perfect 4-0 record
2015-16: Finished season with a 16-16 record in singles and a 7-6 mark in doubles...Secured 12 two-set victories...Won three-straight matches to claim flight title at Rocket Invite...Bested YSU's Julianna Heino, 6-3, 6-3, at second singles...Defeated UIC's Ann-Sophie Hahn, 7-6, 6-3, at No. 2 spot...Went 6-4 with Megan Miller in doubles action.
2014-15 (Michigan State): Went 1-0 in No. 5 singles and posted a 2-0 record in No. 3 doubles.
High School: Three-year letterwinner...State champion in No. 1 singles sophomore and senior years...All-state selection junior and senior years...Won the National Latin Exam silver medal and member of the National Honors Society.
