Men’s Tennis Launch Play at ITA Midwest Regionals Wednesday

Toledo, Ohio – The University of Toledo's men's tennis team will travel to South Bend, Ind. for the ITA Midwest Regional tournament hosted by Notre Dame this week. Competition runs Oct. 17-22.
The playing field will consist of competitors from Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan, Illinois, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Michigan State, DePaul, Western Michigan, Detroit Mercy, Illinois State, Chicago State, UIC, Toledo, Youngstown State, Cleveland State, Valparaiso, Marquette, UW-Green Bay, and Northern Illinois.
The Rockets were last in action in the Purdue Fall Invitational where sophomore Tyler Gargas secured runner-up in the Flight H bracket. Gargas and senior Reid Teatsorth clinched a doubles championship with a victory over sophomore Nikola Arsic and senior Luka Vitosevic.
At last year's ITA Regionals the Rockets garnered five victories in singles play, Vitosevic earning three victories to qualify for the singles main draw. Teatsorth and Danilo Vukotic also clinched victories before falling in the second round of competition.
