East Lansing, Mich. – The Toledo women's tennis team traveled to East Lansing on Sunday, falling to the Michigan State Spartans by a final match score of 4-0.
"This was an extremely competitive match and much closer than the score indicated," said head coach Tracy Mauntler. "It's always a challenge to play Michigan State at their home courts, but I thought we had a strong presence throughout. I'm excited to get back to work with this group."
The Rockets were led in doubles play by senior Colleen O'Brien and sophomore Dee-Dee Leenabanchong who scored the lone victory for the Rockets on the match, posting a 6-3 triumph.
The Rockets will return to the court this Saturday, Jan, 27 when they face Duquesne in Cleveland, Ohio. First serve is set for 4:00 p.m.
