Toledo, Ohio – The Toledo women's tennis team will begin the winter portion of its 2017-18 season this Friday when Chicago State comes to Shadow Valley Tennis Center in Maumee. The Rockets will then travel to East Lansing, Mich. to take on Michigan State on Sunday.
"It's always exciting to kick off the season at home," said head coach Tracy Mauntler. "The team worked hard in the off season and so we are ready to go. It's also exciting to be adding two new players to the roster. They have worked hard to get to Toledo and we can't wait for them to start competing."
The Rockets had a solid fall campaign in 2017, winning 23 singles matches in two final events, including a 16-2 mark at the Rocket Invitational.
Friday's match is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. at Shadow Valley Tennis Center in Maumee.
