ANN ARBOR, Mich. - The Toledo women's soccer team fell, 1-0, to No. 23 Michigan on an 83rd-minute header on Sunday night at the UM Soccer Stadium.
The Rockets (1-1-1) defended 26 shots before finally surrendering the match-winning goal with less than eight minutes remaining in regulation.
In total, Toledo was out-shot 29-8 and took seven fewer corner kicks. Senior

Michigan (3-0-1) took the lead when Reilly Martin centered a pass from the left side that was headed in by Ani Sarkisian for her first goal of the season. Martin and Sarkisian led the Wolverines with 10 and six shots, respectively.
The Rockets pushed to find an equalizer in the final minutes, firing three shots in the final six minutes, but Michigan held off the attack for a 1-0 final.Â

Madison Perrin made a career-high seven saves in goal for the Rockets.Â
Next on the schedule for the Rockets is a west coast trip for contests against UC Riverside on Sept. 1 and UC Irvine on Sept. 3.
