TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo men's tennis (11-12, 2-4 MAC) will travel to Kalamazoo, Mich. on Saturday, April 22 to battle Western Michigan (14-7, 5-1 MAC) in its last regular-season match of the year. The two squads will face off on Sorensen Courts at 1:00 p.m.
Â
This will be the second meeting between the two teams this season. Toledo fell to the Broncos, 6-1, on March 26 in Kalamazoo.Â
"I got the annual email from the conference office with the overview tournament entry tiebreaker bylaws. It will likely be in effect after the last ball is hit on Sunday, regardless of how our match turns out," said Head Coach Al Wermer. "All we can do is try our best to focus on our own business, which will certainly give us a better chance."Â
UT is coming off a close 4-3 loss to Binghamton. The Rockets secured the doubles point by claiming victories at the No. 1 and No. 3 spots, but the Bearcats fought their way back to clinch four singles wins to take the match.Â
