Toledo Opens Three-Match Homestand on Jan. 20

TOLEDO, OH – Toledo will host three teams in its spring home opener this weekend. The Rockets will first welcome Dayton to the Glass City on Friday, Jan. 20 for a 1:00 p.m. match. UT will then host Valparaiso and Wright State in a doubleheader on Saturday. The match vs. the Crusaders is slated to begin at 2:00 p.m., with the match against WSU following at 7:00 p.m.
All matches will be played at Shadow Valley Tennis Club in Maumee and Toledo will host a prize raffle during both matches on Saturday.

"We'll be excited to see some some of our fans out at Shadow Valley this weekend," said head coach Al Wermer. "Our college tennis format is faster and more furious. Fans won't want to be late to the party."

The Rockets are coming off of a tough 7-0 loss to No. 3 Ohio State. The Rockets faced three nationally ranked singles players and a nationally ranked doubles team.
