Kiersten Johnson scored two second-half goals as the Toledo offense erupted for four goals in the final 45 minutes to earn the Rockets' first win of the season, a 5-1 victory over Wagner on Sunday afternoon at Hameline Field. Freshman
Kelsey Kraft added a goal and an assist for the Rockets.
Kraft got the offense going for Toledo (1-1-0) in the 11th minute with her second career goal in as many matches. Sophomore
Alena Sidwell picked up her first helper of the season as she fed the ball to Kraft who put it in the top right corner for the only goal of the first half.
Senior tri-captain
Brooke Maletic scored what proved to be the deciding goal early in the second half when she ripped a shot from outside of the box into the upper 90 on the left side. Johnson widened the lead to 3-0 in the 64th minute by scoring her first goal of the season on a breakaway pass from classmate
Lauren Taylor.Â
Wagner (0-1-0) put a point on the board with 22:15 left in regulation. Toledo sophomore goalkeeper
Katie Wilson was called for a foul in the box to award Wagner a penalty kick. Megan Fritz converted the PK to make the count 3-1.

Toledo's five goals were the most for the Rockets since a 5-2 win over Indiana State on Sept. 20, 2013.
