Rockets Start Three-Match Road Stretch at Buffalo

TOLEDO, OH – Toledo will head to Buffalo, NY on Saturday, April 2 for a 1:00 p.m. match against the Bulls. This contest starts the first of a three-match road stretch for the Rockets.

"We talk a lot about surviving tough times and tough moments and after three 4-3 losses to MAC teams, we'd define this as a tough time. But Stjepan Sisko and these guys love having their backs to the wall," said head coach Al Wermer.

The Rockets are coming off of a 4-3 loss to Binghamton. The Rockets started the match off strong by clinching the doubles point. Junior ?Stjepan Sisko and freshman Luka Vitosevic paired up at No. 1 to defeat Ludovico Cestarollo and Eliott Hureau. The freshmen duo of Vince Anzalone and Serjen Olmedo claimed a 6-3 victory at No. 3 against Sid Hazarika and Valentin Bouchet.

Stjepan Sisko continued his 14-match winning streak at the top spot. Sisko defeated Hazarika, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 1.

Freshman Danilo Pejovic claimed the only other UT singles victory at No. 6. Pejovic bested Josh Druger, 7-5, 6-2.
