Toledo Dropped by Buffalo in Conference Matchup

Buffalo, NY – The Toledo men's tennis team (7-14) lost its fourth Mid-American Conference match to Buffalo, 5-2, on Saturday afternoon at the Miller Tennis Center.
"Our doubles showed promise because we got going at No. 2. This is a team full of fighters. We're going to do very well in the end," said head coach Al Wermer.
Buffalo's Pablo Alvarez and Amar Hromic defeated Stjepan Sisko and Luka Vitosevic, 6-1, at No. 1 doubles. Omar Espinosa and Danilo Pejovic answered back with a 6-4 defeat over Akhil Mehta and Tony Miller. Ethan Nittolo and Sergio Arevalillo clinched the doubles point for the Bulls with a 7-5 victory over Vince Anzalone and Serjen Olmedo.
Toledo was unable to battle back and only secured two singles matches. Sisko continued to reign at the No. 1 spot, defeating Alvarez, 6-4, 5-7, 7-4. Vitosevic bested Hromic at second singles in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2.
The Rockets remain on the road next weekend when they head to DeKalb, IL to face Northern Illinois on April 10 at 1:00 p.m.
