
Toledo Continues Spring Break Trip at Florida A&M and No. 15 Florida State

GAME NOTES
Tallahassee, FL – Toledo continues its 2016 spring break trip at Florida A&M and at No. 15 Florida State at Moore-Kittles Field and at Dick Howser Stadium. UT will take on the Rattlers on Tuesday, March 8 at 5:00 p.m. and the Seminoles on Wednesday, March 9 at 6:00 p.m.
Head coach Cory Mee expects sophomore LHP Alex Wagner (0-0, 4.15 ERA) to take the mound against FAMU and RHP senior Kyle Slack (0-1, 15.75) should climb the hill against FSU.
Last weekend, the Rockets faced Duke to kick off the eight-game road trip. Toledo dropped three games, including two one-run losses during the weekend. Sophomore INF Matt Hansen led the way offensively for the Rockets going 4-for-11 (.364) with two RBI and one run scored. Freshman Casey Johnson pitched 1.0 inning in two games without giving up a run.
Florida A&M was selected first in the MEAC Southern Division and picked up 14 first place votes in the MEAC Preseason Coaches Poll. Florida State was picked second in the ACC Atlantic Division in the ACC Coaches Poll and is currently ranked No. 15 in the country in the Baseball America Top 25.
Toledo will wrap up its spring break trip with a three game series at Jacksonville beginning on Friday, March 11, 2016.
