Rockets Fall to Binghamton, 4-3

TOLEDO, OH – Toledo (7-13, 0-3 MAC) dropped its third conference match to Binghamton, 4-3, on Sunday at the UT outdoor tennis courts.

"We're certainly not glad about the loss, but I'm really impressed with our guys' grit again. They're focused on the process and on improving for the end of the year. Their resilience to adversity is very admirable," said head coach Al Wermer.

The Rockets started the match off strong by clinching the doubles point. Junior Stjepan Sisko and freshman Luka Vitosevic paired up at No. 1 to defeat Ludovico Cestarollo and Eliott Hureau. The freshmen duo of Vince Anzalone and Serjen Olmedo claimed a 6-3 victory at No. 3 against Sid Hazarika and Valentin Bouchet.

Stjepan Sisko continued his 14-match winning streak at the top spot. Sisko defeated Hazarika, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 1.

Freshman Danilo Pejovic claimed the only other UT singles victory at No. 6. Pejovic bested Josh Druger, 7-5, 6-2.

The Rockets head to Buffalo, NY for the first of three-straight road matches. Toledo will face the Bulls on April 2 at 1:00 p.m.
