Rockets to Compete in Kingsmill Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday

TOLEDO, OH - The Toledo women's golf team will compete at William & Mary's Kingsmill Intercollegiate early next week at the Kingsmill Resort Golf Course. The tournament will consist of 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday and will be held on the par-72, 5,962-yard Plantation Course.
Toledo captured the event in 2006 and was led by current Northern Illinois coach Kim Kester, who captured medalist honors at three-over par 147 (75-72). The tournament has formerly been known as the C&F Bank Intercollegiate and the Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate.
The 18-team field will consist of Bethune-Cookman, Boston University, Delaware, Eastern Michigan, Fairleigh Dickinson, Lehigh, Navy, Northern Illinois, Penn, Radford, Richmond, Sacred Heart, St. Francis (PA), St. John's, Toledo, Towson, Wagner and William & Mary.
    Toledo has tied a school record with four tournament titles this season with three coming last fall and another in its most recent outing at the Rio Verde Invitational. The Rockets posted a 21-over 885 (298-294-293) over 54 holes and were led by their senior trio of Sathika Ruenreong, Manisa Isavas and Morgan Salm. Ruenreong topped Toledo with a second-place showing and a two-over par 218 (74-70-74) with Isavas (72-75-74) and Salm (72-77-73) tying for sixth and eighth place, respectively, at five-over 221 and six-over 222.
     Ruenreong is leading the Rockets with a 73.8 stroke average followed by Isavas (74.7) and Salm (75.4). Freshmen Pimchanok Kawil (76.5), Natcha Daengpiem (77.1) and Caitriona Griffin (77.4) are enjoying solid rookie campaigns as well.
