Toledo returning to action next week at Prairie Dunes Women's Collegiate in Wichita, Kan.
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Toledo women's golf team finished in 12th place at Notre Dame's Fighting Irish Classic on Sunday. Senior Aine Martin paced the Rockets with a 6-over par 77 in today's final round and finished the tournament in a team-best 47th-place tie at the par-71, 6,062-yard Warren Golf Course.
Martin was the only Rocket to shoot in the 70s in all three rounds during the tournament. She also was able to do that in UT's first tournament of the season when she was competing as an individual at the Rocket Classic.
Purdue won the tournament after posting a 1-under par 851, 22 strokes in front of second-place Louisville. The Boilermakers' Samantha Brown earned medalist honors with a 54-hole score of 4-under par 2089.
Toledo will return to action on Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 5-6 when it travels to Wichita, Kan. for the Prairie Dunes Women's Collegiate.
