Rockets to Close Out Non-Conference Season Against Butler

TOLEDO, OH – Toledo women's tennis will travel to Indianapolis, IN on March 18 to battle Butler in its last non-conference match. The match is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.
"This is an extremely important match as it's the last time we have the opportunity to compete before the conference season opens up," said head coach Tracy Mauntler. "We need to have a solid performance from top to bottom in order to go into the next weekend with some good confidence."
The Rockets are 5-7 overall heading into this weekend matchup with the bulldogs.
Toledo is coming off a 1-2 run over spring break in California. Highlighting the Rockets' trip was their 4-3 victory over UC Riverside.
Sidnay Huck, Colleen O'Brien and Megan Miller each claimed a two-set singles victory vs. UCR. Huck and O'Brien won, 6-3, 6-3, at No. 2 and 3, respectively. Miller defeated her opponent, 6-2, 6-3, at No. 4.
UT dropped its final spring break match to Liberty, 6-1, but Senior Lauren Thai went undefeated against the Flames. Thai posted a 6-2 victory with sophomore Megan Miller at the No. 3 doubles spot. Thai went on to collect the sole Toledo singles victory. Thai defeated Lauren Mabe in a three set battle (4-6, 6-3, 10-6) at the No. 6 spot.
