Rockets Sweep Butler, 7-0, in Last Non-Conference Match

Indianapolis, IN – Toledo defeated Butler, 7-0, in its last non-conference match of the season. The Rockets will enter MAC play next weekend with an overall record of 6-7.

"This was a great win to finish out our non-conference season," said head coach Tracy Mauntler. "We really had to battle at some spots which was great to see."

UT swept the doubles round, winning all three matches.

The Rockets then dominated singles play against the Bulldogs. Sidnay Huck, Emily Mazzola, Colleen O'Brien and Lauren Thai each recorded two-set victories. Megan Miller and Claire Aleck each won their match in a 10-point tiebreaker at the No. 4 and 5 spots, respectively.

Toledo will begin its 2016 MAC schedule next weekend in Buffalo, NY on March 25 and in Akron, OH on March 27. Both matches are slated to begin at 1:00 p.m.
