Toledo Drops Final Spring Break Match to Liberty

Palm Springs, CA – Toledo (5-7) dropped its final spring break match to Liberty, 6-1, on Friday at the Desert Princess Country Club in Palm Springs, CA.

"I feel like we got some great outdoor experience against some very good teams out here. We've got a lot to keep working on in the next two weeks before we open up the conference season," said head coach Tracy Mauntler.

Senior Lauren Thai went undefeated against Liberty. Thai posted a 6-2 victory with sophomore Megan Miller at the No. 3 doubles spot. Thai went on to collect the sole Toledo singles victory. Thai defeated Lauren Mabe in a three set battle (4-6, 6-3, 10-6) at the No. 6 spot.

The Rockets travel to Indianapolis on March 18 for a 4:00 p.m. match against Butler. It will be Toledo's last match before beginning conference play on March 25 against Buffalo.
