
Toledo Wraps Up Spring Break With Series at Jacksonville

Tallahassee, FL – Toledo (1-11-1) will wrap up its 2016 spring break trip with a series at Jacksonville beginning on Friday, March 11 at 6:00 p.m. at Sessions Stadium.
Head coach Cory Mee expects junior LHP Steven Calhoun (1-2, 3.78 ERA) to take the mound on Friday for the Rockets. Senior LHP Ross Achter is expected to pitch on Saturday and junior Sam Shutes will toe the rubber on Sunday against the Dolphins. Michael Baumann (1-0, 4.32), Nathan Disch (2-0, 0.00) and Spencer Stockton (1-0, 3.09) will start for JU.
During the midweek games, the Rockets dropped contests with Florida A&M and Florida State, 12-4 and 3-2, respectively. Sophomore Brad Boss ripped one triple and scored one RBI against Florida A&M. Senior Deion Tansel currently holds a 12-game on-base streak.
Sophomore Dalton Bollinger leads the way offensively for the Rockets this season with a .280 (7-for-25) batting average. Bollinger has one double and two RBI as well. Junior Steven Duby leads the way out of the bullpen with a 0.77 ERA (11.2 IP) in four appearances.
Jacksonville took down USF on Wednesday at Sessions Stadium, 7-5. The Dolphins are 8-3 on the season, including one win over No. 14 Florida State. The Friday contest will be the first ever meeting between the two schools.
Toledo will play its first game north of the Mason-Dixon Line on Wednesday, March 16 at Notre Dame at 6:05 p.m.
