Rockets Host First Home Matches of the Season

TOLEDO, OH – Toledo women's tennis welcomes Youngstown State (0-3) and Illinois - Chicago (0-1) to the Glass City this weekend for their first pair of home matches. The Rockets (1-3)  will first battle YSU on Saturday, Feb. 6 at 1:00 p.m. before facing UIC on Sunday, Feb. 7 at 10:00 a.m. Both matches will be held at Shadow Valley Tennis Club.

Last weekend, UT dropped a pair of matches to West Virginia and Duquesne.

The Rockets fell to WVU 1-6 on Jan 29. Toledo's sole victory came from sophomore Megan Miller, who bested Carolina Lewis at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 2-6, 12-10.

The following day, UT dropped their match to Duquesne, 5-2. Colleen O'Brien and Megan Miller claimed a 6-2 victory at No. 2 doubles, while Lauren Thai and Claire Aleck paired up to post a 6-3 victory at No. 3.
Aleck recorded Toledo's only singles victory at the No. 5 spot. Aleck bested Ally Miller 7-5, 6-2.
